How to Read a Build
Last updated: 2026-07-26
A quick tour of a CoA Build Hub build page — talent tree, written guide, role and content type, votes — and how to try a build in-game.
Every build on CoA Build Hub packs a lot into one page. Once you know what you're looking at, you can size up a build in seconds.
What is on a build page
- Talent tree — the exact essence allocation, shown on the interactive calculator. You can load it, tweak it, and export it to the game.
- Written guide — the author’s notes on rotation, gear, stats, and tips. Builds with a detailed written guide are the most useful; a build with only a talent tree tells you what to pick but not why.
- Role and content type — whether the build is meant for leveling, PvE, PvP, or open world, and which role it fills.
- Votes — the community's verdict. Higher-voted builds have been tried and endorsed by other players.
Trying a build in-game
Open the build, review the talent tree and guide, then use the export button to copy an in-game import string. Paste that string into the talent import dialog in Conquest of Azeroth to apply the whole build instantly.
Make it your own
Builds are starting points, not gospel. Load one into the calculator, adjust it to your gear and playstyle, and save your own version — then share what works so the next player benefits too.
